Krishna Purohit

Krishna Kumar Purohit did his Information Technology B.Tech from Jaypee University Waknaghat, Himachal Pradesh. He did his engineering internship at Infosys Ltd. and later worked as an Automation testing engineer for 3 years. He did his Master's in Social Entrepreneurship from TISS Mumbai. During his Masters, he started a learning space and livelihood centre for adults in Rajgurunagar in Pune district Maharashtra where he ran various skill development, Numeracy, Literacy, Philosophy and Social Science courses for women from nearby villages and tribal areas, to create livelihood opportunities for four years. He then led an environmental organization documenting and restoring native flora and districts of Jaipur and Bikaner in Rajasthan and taught Physics and Logical reasoning to school students till grade 12 here. For the next three years, he taught Physics full-time at an IB School as a Physics faculty. At CCL he oversees video documentation of Science and Math content and is responsible for creating science content and facilitating teacher workshops primarily in Physics and at times in Chemistry and Math. He loves being close to nature; is a believer in equal rights to all living beings and staunchly believes in the scientific method while seeing social sciences as an essential counterpart to natural science and engineering.
