Fun with Paper Copter!

So this week we visited the following schools on
Tue: Saijpur Guj. School No. 5
Thurs: Saijpur Guj. School No. 6,9 & Asarwa Guj. School no. 1
100 children visited IITGn and had an awesome experience making paper copter and discovering the pattern behind a simple calendar. P.K. Srinivasan book on “Fun with Calendar” is something which every educator and children should get their hands on.

Science for Monks | TinkerSpace Mundgod

Neeraj Sharma from CLI, has a wonderful visit to Gaden Jangtse Science Center in Mundgod(Goa). He spent 5 days with the Science for Monks team to together set up a full-fledged science center which now has 35 exhibits. The beauty of this space was that everything was made using local materials and tools. This overcomes the fear from the mind of the children and teachers to play with the exhibit because he/she know that if it gets broken, it can be repaired locally and at affordable cost. This in turn invites one to tinker and the real process of learning starts! One of the interesting observation was when a child od standard 3rd solved the stack it up puzzle within just 15 min and everyone was amazed! Magic Maths!

#ProjectSpark #AMC 100 children from the schools Shahapur 1,4,15 and Asrawa 4 visited IITGn today. The children has wonderful time discovering the mechanism behind the working of cycle which moves forward when one paddles backwards,on how to make beautiful mathematical structures with cube blocks,and working and making of a DC Motor. The session was enriched by present of Maths Educator,Mr Rupesh who works in the area of recreational mathematics based out of Mumbai. Children were amazed when he did an activity where he predicted the total number of brothers and sisters in one’s family.He also performed few card tricks which left the children awed.
